Walla Walla PD arrests wanted shooting suspect

WALLA WALLA, WA - As of 6:30 p.m. per the press release, the suspect has been arrested by Walla Walla Police Department and is in custody at this time.

6-25-18 UPDATE:

WALLA WALLA, WA - Walla Walla Police are seeking help from the public in locating 28-year-old Mikhail "Micky" Takele of Walla Walla.

Detectives have probable cause for his arrest for the crimes of two counts of first degree assault related to the shooting of 22-year-old Ernesto Moreno and 23-year-old Sydney Hawkins-Nunez English, both of Walla Walla. Both were shot in their apartment in the 1100 block of W. Chestnut on Sunday, June 24. Their conditions are currently unknown. It is also unclear as to what motivated this attack, however it is not believed that the general public is at risk.

Anyone with information regarding Takele's current location is asked to call 9-1-1 and relay information through dispatch. Takele is known to frequent the Walla Walla and Tri-Cities areas and is believed to be armed and dangerous. If located, do not approach and call 9-1-1.

Detectives are still continuing their investigation.

6-25-18 ORIGINAL STORY:

WALLA WALLA- The Walla Walla Police Department is investigating a shooting from Sunday night. 

It happened at 5:57 p.m. in the apartments at 1107 West Chestnut Ave. Information is limited but police say two people were shot and taken to Providence St. Mary's Medical Center. The hospital went into lock down shortly after.

Motive is unclear and the conditions of the victims are unknown. The investigation is ongoing and police say there is no threat to the public.
