Business Spotlight: Be Leaf Microgreens

Posted: Updated:

YAKIMA, WA - Business is growing in the Yakima Valley with the brand urban farm: Be Leaf Microgreens.

This new veteran-run business grows and sells a variety of microgreens. Microgreens are the shoots of salad vegetables that are picked just after the first leaves develop. Microgreens normally take about a week to 3 to fully grow for consumption. Be Leaf Microgreens grow over 7 different kinds ranging from kale and broccoli to arugula and radishes.

If you'd like to even grow your own microgreens, they have take-home kits that come with a stand, grow lights, seeds and everything you need to get your own variety of microgreens growing. You can find a variety of these microgreens at several Wray's Grocery stores & at several restaurants in downtown Yakima.

Both owners are also selling at the Downtown Yakima Farmers Market on Sundays and at the Ellensburg Farmers Market on Saturdays. For more info check them out on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/beleafmicrogreens/
