SPOKANE, Wash. - Curtis Terry's two-run blast capped a four-run eighth inning Redband Rally as Spokane beat the Everett AquaSox 7-5 for their third straight victory on Baseball Vacation Sweepstakes & Azteca Taco Tuesday presented by Alaskan Brewing Company, 103.9 BOB FM, 94.1 The Bear, and Nspire Magazine.

Spokane's bats picked up where they left off last night, when all nine starters tallied at least one hit. The Indians scored three runs on four hits in the bottom of the first, highlighted by a Curtis Terry RBI double and a well-placed run scoring single from Starling Joseph.

Those were the last runs the Indians scored until the eighth. Everett battled back with two runs in the second and two more in the third off Spokane starter Werner Leal. Leal grinded through four innings, giving up four runs and striking out five. Everett would score another run in the fifth off Spokane reliever Cole Uvila to take a 5-3 lead.

Spokane manager Kenny Holmberg would call on Scott Engler to provide some much needed stability out of the Indians' bullpen. Engler did not disappoint. He pitched four scoreless innings, allowing no hits and striking out three. His efforts kept Spokane in the game and set the stage for an epic Redband Rally.

Trailing 5-3 in the eighth, Julio Pablo Martinez launched a lead-off homer, his first of the season. After a one-out hit from Miguel Aparicio, Diosbel Arias drove his third double of the game beyond the outstretched arms of Canadians' center fielder Josh Sowers. Aparacio came around to score to tie the game, 5-5. Vancouver would turn to Dayeison Arias out of the bullpen to try and get out of the jam. He was greeted by Curtis Terry. The first pitch Arias threw, Terry blasted a moonshot over the Gus Johnson Ford sign in left field and sent Avista Stadium into a frenzy.

Engler would pitch a perfect ninth to secure the Indians' third-straight victory and take game one of the series.
