Eastbound lane closures to cause delays between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass

Posted: Updated:

SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA - It’s a busy travel weekend across the state and drivers traveling eastbound on Friday and westbound on Sunday will experience delays on Interstate 90 between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass.

Contractor crews with the Washington State Department of Transportation are working to replace concrete in the eastbound lanes and repair bridge decks in the westbound lanes. Due to this work, 24 hour lane closures and traffic shifts are in place and can’t be lifted due to the roadway being torn up.

Drivers need to plan for at least an hour of added travel eastbound on Friday and an hour or more of added travel time westbound on Sunday. We understand this work can be frustrating to drivers, but this work is necessary to improve the roadway. We provide a variety of tools to help you plan your trip across I-90 Snoqualmie Pass this weekend and this summer:
