The Seattle Mariners started off their three-game series against the Los Angels Angels with a 9-3 loss on Tuesday night.

Seattle started off the scoring in the first inning when Mitch Haniger hit a three-run homer (his 18th home run on the year). The Angels would respond by scoring nine consecutive runs and securing the victory.

Starting pitcher Mike Leake struggled on the mound tonight for the Mariners, giving up eleven hits and seven runs in four innings of work.

The Mariners will continue their series against the Angels on Wednesday with the first pitch set for 7:07 p.m.
