Jean Segura wins AL Final Vote to All-Star Game

The Seattle Mariners will have one extra player in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game, as shortstop Jean Segura won the Final Vote for the American League. Segura beat out Andrew Benintendi, Giancarlo Stanton, Eddie Rosario and Andrelton Simmons.

Here's the moment the Mariners found out Segura was named an All-Star:

Segura will join teammates Mitch Haniger, Nelson Cruz and Edwin Diaz as the only Mariners in this year's All-Star Game.

Segura has been dominant at shortstop this season batting .329 which is first among shortstops in the American League. Segura also has seven home runs, 47 RBI's and 14 stolen bases.

The MLB All-Star Game is set for Tuesday, July 17 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.
