ELLENSBURG, WA - The Boylston Fire that closed down all lanes of I-90 for most of the night Thursday night into this morning has burned 70,000 acres and is 15 percent contained.

At one point, the fire caused both the east and westbound lanes of I-90 to close. The westbound lanes opened earlier Friday morning, but eastbound lanes remained closed.

The Department of Transportation said eastbound lanes were going to reopen around 3 p.m., but that didn't happen... causing drivers to wait even longer in their cars.

"We started traffic around 1:40 about 2.5 miles away from exit 115 in Kittitas, but now we've been waiting for about 45 minutes on the side of the road," said Kyle Chaplin, who was stuck in traffic.

Over 150 firefighters are working on the fire, and aircraft have also been used.
