The Seattle Mariners dropped their third straight game on Thursday night after losing to the Toronto Blue Jays, 8-3. With this loss, the Mariners have now dropped out of the second American League Wild Card spot and are a half-game back behind the Athletics.

Seattle opened up the scoring with two runs in the first inning, but only could muster up one more run in the loss. The game was tied 2-2, until former Mariner Kendrys Morales hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning and the Blue Jays never looked back.

The Mariners will continue their series with the Blue Jays on Friday when former Gonzaga Bulldogs pitcher Marco Gonzales gets the start.
