Big Foot Found!

Posted: Updated:

Big foot has been found! While the creature wasn't living or breathing, Helena's Parks and Recreation Department was happy to get their Sasquatch back… their cardboard cut-out of the mythical beast, that is.

The "squatch" went missing a few weeks ago from his hide-out on mount Helena. Big Foot has been hanging out on the trails for the past couple of months for the department's summer photo contest.

Someone hiking near Grunge Canyon Boulevard saw him away from his usual spot. They called the Parks and Rec Department who rushed in to save their lost sasquatch.

“We had a backup one that we had been hiding out there that we put in the top of mount Helena, so that there was less of a chance of him walking off again. And we had kind of just given up hope on retrieving this one,” said Dave Tortora, Recreation Manager, Helena Parks and Rec.

However, Big Foot wasn't in his best shape when hikers found him. Someone had drawn a mustache and tattoos all over his body. Plus, he was bent in half.

But, there is good news. With some bleach and a bit of elbow grease, workers have him looking as good as new.

The
squatch will get to be out on the trails for a few more weeks before he returns to his hideout at the Parks and Recreation Department for winter.
