22-year-old driver arrested after pickup crashes, kills 4 in King County

KING COUNTY, WA - Four people are dead and a 22-year-old man now faces vehicular homicide charges after a serious collision on SR 518 in King County.

At about 2:17 a.m. on Sunday, October 7 the Washington State Patrol received a 911 call reporting a serious collision on eastbound SR 518 in the area of I-5.

The Tukwila Fire Department arrived before WSP troopers and said that one person - who had been ejected from the vehicle during the crash - was going to be taken to Harborview Medical Center, and that four others were dead in the vehicle.

Once troopers arrived, they were able to determine that the vehicle was a white 2004 Nissan Titan pickup and was traveling eastbound on SR 518 at a high rate of speed, left the roadway to the right, rolled and struck a large concrete support pole.

Troopers secured the scene and detectives from the Major Accident Investigation Team determined that the person transported to Harborview was believed to be the driver of the vehicle at the time of the collision.

22-year-old Jesse Tenorio of Kent, Washington was arrested for investigation of four counts of Vehicular Homicide and placed under guard by troopers at Harborview Medical Center. Tenorio was released from the hospital on Monday, October 8, just before to 4:00 p.m. and booked into the King County Jail.
