Wildcat Creek Bridge reopens

Posted: Updated:

NACHES, WA - Good news for those traveling over the Wildcat Creek Bridge, construction is just about done.

The bridge that was originally built in 1936 had pot holes and was showing signs of deterioration.

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) was having issues keeping it all patched up, especially during the winter and fall.
Crews say there are just a few more weeks of touch up that they need to finish.

Right now we will have one way alternating traffic. We do have some maintenance things that need to be finished, over the next week or two and once we're finished with that we will be opened to two lanes," said Meagan Lott, spokesperson for WSDOT.

Once they're done, the new bridge will provide a smoother ride for drivers heading over the pass.
