Family grieves over loss of Pasco hit and run

Posted: Updated:

PASCO - Hearts were heavy and many tears were shed when discussing the death of 27 year old Martin Perez Garcia, who was hit and killed in Pasco Sunday night.

"It's really hard that we never get to see him again...we really love him," Said Sierrah Nheotte, Girlfriend of Garcia.

Just last Sunday Garcia was walking home after celebrating his girlfriends 21st birthday when he decided to take a short cut, and never made it home.

"We looked for him all night... I called her to help me um I didn't find him, then I got a call from my father that someone was found," Said Nheotte.

Garcia was walking on the shoulder of 395 near Argent road when police say a SUV hit Garcia then drove away, his body was found Sunday afternoon in the median.

"Just speaking out on it making sure people know it's not okay, and if you see something to say something..to not leave people on the side of the road like that," Said Nheotte.

Family members tell me Garcia was a loving father, boyfriend and brother who really treated everyone with a heart of gold.

"He was an amazing person, he definitely did not deserve this...he is the kindest person. He would help anyone and put everybody first especially his children.. he lived for his children he always made sure they had everything and more," Said, Nheotte.
