Lively Program Brings Young People to Richland Church
RICHLAND, Wash. - A program at Central United Protestant Church in Richland is reaching out to young people with lively music and a strong message. The program is called "The Mix." Every Wednesday night, high school aged kids get together to hear Christian Rock, talk about issues they're dealing with and learn more about the church and what it has to offer. "Yeah, we've got a variety of students that come out and they're people who are finally feeling accepted somewhere I think, and a lot of times they feel, wow, that's cool, I can walk in and people treat me like somebody no matter what I look like or what I say, so it's pretty cool," said C.U.P. Youth Pastor Todd Kleppin. "The Mix" is open to high school-aged kids every Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00. A similar program called "Crossroads" is open to everyone Sunday mornings from 11:00 to Noon.
