YAKIMA, Wash,- The streets of Yakima came alive Saturday for the first annual "Yakima Live" Despite the rain storm on Saturday morning, the show still went on.
"Right from the very beginning everyone knew that things would shape up. Everyone was out working hard in the rain...in hopes that everything would come together and that the sun would come out.. and by golly it did," said Barbara Greco, "Yakima Live" Coordinator.
Downtown was full of live music, food, and booths. The event ran until 10pm, and the most popular attraction was a gigantic sand sculpture with a 'City of Yakima' theme.
Event organizers say "Yakima Live" was a huge success, and they look forward to it in the years to come.
