KENNEWICK, Wash - The Tri-Cities Fever have spent all week getting ready for their game at Bozeman. However, Thursday they learned that their opponent will be unable to host the event due to serious financial shortcomings.
The Big Sky Thunder, which played at the Toyota Center May 6, has been evicted from the Ice Garden Arena in Bozeman. They were behind in payments and missed a final deadline. They were unable to get financial help from the league, and it is unclear whether they will play any more games at all. As for the Fever, this Saturday's game will count as a forefit win and will not be rescheduled.
The Fever's next game will be Sunday June 4th at home against undefeated Rapid City.
