Dangerous Water Levels on Naches River for Memorial Day Weekend
YAKIMA, Wash.- The Naches River continues to have dangerously high levels, and it may be in part to continued rain fall.
The Yakima Fire department says with the amount of run off coming from the mountains anyone on the river faces dangers from the cold and swift currents.
If you have plans to be near the water over Memorial Day weekend, you might want to change your plans. Yakima fire says it doesn't matter how good of shape you're in, you can suffer hypothermia and drown in the water.
