DeSales Nabs 14th State Baseball Title In The Last 15 Seasons
KENNEWICK, Wash. - If the DeSales Irish baseball team drew up a script for how they'd end their season, it probably would have closely matched reality. A 7th-inning line-drive off the bat of Jake Moore skipped past Lind-Ritzville third baseman Zack Gardner. That hit brought home the winning run in the B State Baseball Championship. The Irish won 7-6.
Jack Dickson and Zac Ebding came around to score ending the game, and the dogpile ensued for the Irish. DeSales head coach Kim Cox said Dickson, who pitched for the Irish, had some location problems early in the game. But Dickson settled down to allow only one run in his final three innings of work.
It was the 14th state title for DeSales in the last 15 seasons.
