FINLEY, Wash - About six Finley students are safe after a power pole fell on their bus.
Around 2:50 Wednesday afternoon a Waste Management truck turned from Finley road onto Pullman road in Finley and got snagged on the power lines, said Cpl. Chuck Jones with the Benton County Sherrif's Department.
The power line also fell on a Finley school bus. No one was injured and all the students got out after waiting for about 20-30 minutes, Jones said.
Members of the Benton County Sherrif's Department, Fire Officials, the Benton PUD and Charter Communication all showed up to get the situation under control.
Charter Communication said cable will likely be out until the end of the night and Benton PUD said power could be restored by 7:00 p.m.
