Graduation parties where alcohol was served have proven deadly in the past. Parties put on by schools gives high school seniors something to do the night of graduation.

Kennewick police Sgt. Brian Swartswalter said, "The nice thing about this for us is that it gives them all a safe place to go have their senior party and it's alcohol and drug free."
Schools raise thousands of dollars to have the night long events. South Ridge High School grads spent the night at the Tri-City Court Club.
