Crews Warn of Potential Danger after Fatal Accident on 395
MESA, Wash. - Crews cleaned-up the wreckage from a deadly accident on Highway 395 Monday night. The wreck injured an Idaho woman and killed her daughter.
State patrol troopers say 48-year-old Jill Davis of Idaho was driving her 1995 GMC Yukon about 20 miles north of Pasco when she tried to pass a semi truck. It's that move that proved deadly for her daughter 19-year-old Alissa Davis.
Crews at the scene say the 24-foot camper trailer Davis was pulling was too large for the half ton SUV causing the driver to lose control. Troopers said the trailer began swirving causing and eventually rolling the vehicle three times.
Both women were wearing seatbelts. Jill davis was transported to Our Lady of Lourdes but a nursing supervisor said she was not admitted into the hospital.
