YAKIMA, Wash. -- The U.S. Attorney's office tells KNDO that local children may be the victims in a child pornography case involving a Zillah High School teacher.
Ron Nash was officially charged with two felonies involving child pornography in Federal court Wednesday afternoon.
The U.S. Attorney's office says they plan to present evidence that some of Ron Nash's alleged victims are local, and that he's had contact with them since the investigation began in December.
Nash was arrested by sheriff's deputies and FBI agents at his home Wednesday morning, but was released after his arraignment. He has another court appearance on Monday.
He was charged with receipt and distribution of child pornography, as well as possession of child pornography. The judge entered a not guilty plea on his behalf.
Nash was suspended from Zillah High School in February. The u-s attorney's office declined to say whether any of the alleged victims were Nash's students.
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office has asked that you call them if you have any information about Nash and inappropriate contact with minors. Their number is 509-574-2550.
