RICHLAND, Wash - The search for a missing kayaker turns into a nightmare.
Now another person is missing in the Yakima River, this time it's a teenage boy.
Rescue crews say the teen was in the river with some friends near Twin Bridges Road West of Richland.
He was not wearing a life jacket and he was swept away by the current.
Family members of Gary Kirk, the kayaker who went missing this weekend, say the teenage boy is a friend of the family and was searching for Gary's body.
A massive search for the teenager lasted into the night, but was called off due to poor visibility as the sun went down.
Gary Kirk went missing after he and a friend capsized while attempting to drift over the Wanawish Dam Saturday afternoon.
Search efforts for both Kirk and the teenager will resume tomorrow.
