Public Hearing in Yakima to Discuss Expiring Farm Bill
YAKIMA, Wash.- In less than six months- the Farm Bill will expire. The House Agriculture Committee held a public hearing at the Yakima Convention Center Saturday to discuss plans for the new bill.
The farm bill provides support for agricultural trade and development. At Saturday's hearing, two panels spoke to Congress on their various interests for federal spending and international trade. There are only twelve meetings like this one planned nationwide to discuss the expiring Farm Bill.
