Friends and family remember 100-year-old man that died

KENNEWICK, WASH. - Steve Badalamente is being remembered by friends and family today.

The 100-year-old man died from injuries related to a driving accident.  He lost control of his car and drove into a canal near Canyon Lakes Golf Course.

He was taken to Kennewick General Hospital last Tuesday but ultimately died as a result of his injuries.

Boots Wise lived next door to Steve for ten years.  She said, "He was always caring and wanting to do something for someone. He was always right there for you if you needed him and all the neighbors would say the same."

Wise says the man told everyone he was going to live to be 110.  She said he was always in the garden and worked as a florist for many years of his life.
