KENNEWICK, Wash. - Hot weather brought people out to public Tri-Cities pools. They officially opened this weekend.
Families came out to soak up the sun and take a dip in the Kennewick City Pool. Lifeguards warn with summer nearing swimmers need to know the dangers of the water.
Lifeguard John Heitz said never swim alone, children must always be with parents, and do not forget sunscreen.
Heitz said, "As the summer progresses we are going to get a lot more people in here. This is very atypical of what we normally have so I think as we go along and people realize were open. We'll have a lot more summer come out."
It'll cost you two-dollars for adults and 75 cents for kids to get into the pool.
