SELAH, Wash.- The Yakima sheriff's office says a three year old boy who disappeared in the Roza Canal probably drowned. Today a helicopter was brought in from King County to help look for him. The sheriff's office says the boy fell in the Roza Canal around one o'clock yesterday afternoon. Deputies say the boy was with his father when the accident happened.
Sergeant John Durand with Yakima County search and rescue, says, "We're in recovery mode right now- which means we're going to wait and see, let mother nature take it's course and wait until the body surfaces"
Sheriff's deputies say the missing boy is hispanic. He was last seen wearing a red sweater.
