Health Department warns of Hanta Virus

Yakima, Wash. - State health officials urge people who live, or work around rodent infested areas to be cautious--- especially of deer mice.

Deer mice can transfer the hanta virus from droppings, urine or saliva.

This virus can cause infection in the lungs and if it is not properly treated... Even death.

Officials say this is a rare illness, but if you see any mouse droppings; Bleach spray the area and use a cloth to clean it up.
