RICHLAND, Wash. - The Tri-River Sports Facility group envisions a water park, amphitheater and boardwalk spreading across two cities.
On Tuesday night they took their plans to city council members. The group is in the early stages of presenting their plans to both Kennewick and Richland City Councils. The majority of council members had one question in mind. They wanted to know how much the project was going to cost.
The facility would be on the west end of Columbia Park in Kennewick and Richland. According to the group, they estimate the entire project will come with a price tag of around $150 million.
The facility would also include an RV park and beach type water fronts. City council members said they know there is a need for this type of entertainment in our area, but want to make sure they choose the right group to move forward with.
