RICHLAND, Wash. - Ang Dorjee, a legendary Sherpa mountaineer featured in the book "Into Thin Air," is now a landscaper in the Tri-Cities.
Dorjee moved to the area two years ago and still guides on the mountain; he just made his eleventh Everest summit on May 19th, carrying a banner for his landscaping company, "Cut Above."
His wife, whom he met at Everest Base Camp, is now an employee at Battelle.
Dorjee says his training now consists almost entirely of "just landscaping." He was born and raised in Nepal, in the shadow of Mount Everest.
