Soldier home for his first Fathers Day

PASCO, Wash. - A local man is home from Iraq for his first Fathers Day as a dad.

After missing his wife's entire pregnancy Donny Reddout saw his three week old son whose name is also Donny, for the first time last night.

While stationed in Iraq, Donny trained Iraqi soldiers.

He said being away from his new family was the most difficult part of the job.  Donny said, "missing out on the whole pregnancy. She did everything herself and just being away from family."

His wife, Shelley Reddout said, "It was definitely hard going through a pregnancy without him there.  He's missing out on everything, the first kicks and all that fun stuff."

Now that Donny is home the couple plans on just relaxing and enjoying his first father's day. Shelley said it's amazing to have her husband home safe.
