KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Kennewick gas station was robbed by a suspect wearing a ski-mask.
It happened just before midnight at the Smitty's Conoco on Columbia Drive. Police said the male suspect used a knife to threaten the clerk and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police are looking at surveillance tape to help with the investigation and said the gas station clerk did the right thing by giving the robber the money.
Sgt. Scott Child said, "The best thing you can do is be a good witness. Cooperate with the person. If they want items go ahead and give it to them. The best thing you can do for us it to not get involved."
Police said no one was injured during the robbery. The search continues for the suspect and police ask anyone with information to contact them.
