Heat advisory in the Tri-Cities for the next few days
TRI-CITIES, Wash. - A heat warning is in effect for eight counties in our region.
Today people at Columbia Park said they were doing whatever they can to keep cool.
There were many kids splashing in the pools and couples under the shade. The heat advisory is expected to last until Tuesday evening at seven o'clock.
Many families were on the river, relaxing in the shade, and just trying to keep cool.
Scott Springer said he really works up a sweat while riding his bike, "but I got the river right next to me so if I needed to cool down I just jump in certain places I know where to jump in. I love it."
If you are outside remember wear your sun screen, drink plenty of water and make sure to check on your elderly neighbors.
