PASCO, Wash. - Pasco Fire Fighters at the Airport Fire Station started moving into their new fire station Monday.
The station cost $3.7 million. The building is only 100 yards away from the old station, but fire fighters claim it will make work a lot easier. The building boasts larger fire truck bays, which means fire fighters can store more emergency vehicles. But fire fighters are most excited about all the extra storage and kitchen space.
"Everything is brand new, we got some granite counter tops. We got some nice cabinetry. It's going to be a nice facility," said Capt. Pat Henrickson, Pasco Fire Department.
The old building served airport fire fighters since 1969, but will begin to be torn down this week.
