Knowing your bike and how to ride it is an unspoken rule among bikers.
John Drakes has been riding his bike for over 25 years and he says motorcycles are dangerous, and you need to be street smart about your bike; especially with drivers on the road.
"Today a lady pulled out and almost hit me, it happens," says Drake.
Sometimes no matter if you have a helmet on or how well you know the road- some dangers lie in the hands of other drivers on the road.
"Other motorist are probably the biggest danger," says Drake.
Drake says drivers not paying attention is something he's gotten used to. The weather is nice and gas prices are high so motorcycles are gaining popularity.
Drake says if you're considering riding a bike... do you're homework, it could save your life.
