Farmer Announces Candidacy for Franklin County Commission

PASCO, Wash. - A pasco farmer is running for Franklin County Commissioner District Three.

Rick Miller officially announced his candidacy this afternoon in front of the Franklin County Courthouse.

The 47-year old Republican says he wants to bring fresh ideas to county government and maximize the benefits of the county.

Miller would like to bolster the county's economy by pushing for an increase in bio-tech, but not limiting to alternate fuels.

"I feel good. I feel I'm young enough to see the vision out there, of what this county can be in another 20 or 30 years," Miller said.

Miller is running for the seat being vacated by long-time commissioner Rrank Brock who is retiring

Miller serves on the Franklin County Farm Bureau, is a member of the CBC Foundation Scholarship selection committee and the Pasco High School agricultural advisory board.
