PASCO, Wash. - A man with ties to Pasco is now charged with first degree murder for the shooting death of Beatris Pulido Padilla.
According to court documents, Martin Vaal Lopez walked up to a house on North Owen in Pasco. He knocked on the door and asked for the lady of the house. When Padilla came to the door, a witness said Lopez shot her to death.
The name of the witness is not in the court documents but that witness did later picked Lopez out of a photo line-up.
Police won't confirm whether the victim's children inside the home at the time of the killing witnessed the murder.
The Franklin County Prosecutor has decided to press first degree murder charges against Lopez. Although police have not released a motive for the killing, they would not deny drugs may have played a role in the killing.
