KENNEWICK, Wash.- The Tri-City Industrial Development Council, Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce and Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau are looking to relocate together in a new building.
Each company's Board of Directors is currently examining the possibility of building a new building together somewhere in Kennewick.
The move would increase efficiency between the three groups, who already work closely on a daily basis.
"In other communities, Spokane, Yakima, these types of organizations usually co-locate in a facility," said Gary Petersen, TRIDEC Vice President.
"And both the greater Chamber and the Visitor and Convention Bureau are currently housed in very old, adequated facilities."
Nothing is final yet regarding the move, but the Board's are expected to vote on the issue near the end of July.
