Plan for Future Development in West Valley Open for Public Input
YAKIMA, Wa - Yakima County is working on a plan that will shape West Valley for years to come. Now they want community input.
Twelve community members were selected to come up with new policies that will direct changes to zoning standards. In a phone call with KNDO, they said their goal was to provide more flexible zoning ordinances so the community and developers had more choices.
The 'West Valley Neighborhood Plan' has policies regarding transportation and mobility, housing, and parks and open spaces.
The open house on the plan is scheduled for this coming Monday, July 24th from 6pm to 8pm. It will be held at the West Valley Middle School Commons at 1500 S. 75th Avenue.
