BBB says Watch Out for new Credit Card Scam called 'Vishing'
YAKIMA, Wa - The Better Business Bureau issues a warning about a new credit card scam they're calling 'Vishing.'
An automated system calls credit holders to tell them their identity has been stolen. The victims then call an 800 number which requests their account details and credit card number. Thieves use this information to empty out the accounts by buying products and services on the credit card.
You should be suspicious if you receive any phone or email contact that does not use your first and surnames.
You should never dial a call return number or reply to an email regarding any financial matter.
The BBB says these are two simple steps to help you avoid becoming the next victim.
