The Kittitas Sheriffs Department has teamed up with the Washington State Patrol to patrol the river areas in an effort to keep people safe.
"We'll be trying to target the areas we have the most problems; alcohol related and reckless boating but it's a huge county so we'll be spread thin," said
Sheriff dana says this weekend, they will have boats on the river and six deputies to patrol the areas.
