PASCO, Wash. - A man wanted in connection with his wife's murder is considered armed and dangerous.
Steve Leighton is still on the run and Pasco Police are asking for your help.
Detectives were out at the murder scene again collecting evidence in the murder case of Patricia Leighton.
Michael Cuevas is best friends with the victims son. He said, "I was really mad about it. There's nothing I could really do. That's what hurts the most."
Cuevas said he saw Leighton leaving the day before police found her dead in the couple's mobile home and said he, "just drove right through the trailer park like it was nothing, in that same black truck."
Cuevas said he has known the family for years. He has gone camping with them and said they are good people and that this was a surprise to everyone. He said, "Something we all didn't expect, but now that he's wanted for murder. I hope they do catch him. She was a nice person. He didn't need to do that."
Police said they have entered Leighton's information into a national database and report that they have searched the city high and low for any trace of him or the missing truck.
Cuevas said there was no expression on Leighton's face when he drove away. He said, "He wasn't hurt or shocked or scared, just drove right by."
