ATNI Meets in Spokane

The Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians is an organization representing nearly 60 tribes from Nevada to Alaska.  The most recent ATNI gathering was in Spokane, Washington and ATNI President, Ernest Stensgar, spoke to Indian people and ATNI member tribes of the region.

There are three conferences held a year and important issues are touched on.  At every conference, Ernest Stensgar makes sure to hear what issues tribes are most concerned about.

These issues range from economic development and trust reform to the Cobell Case that would reorganize the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
