YAKIMA, Wash. - As the mercury rises, doctors are warning you to be careful especially if you are planning to exercise.
According to doctors at Yakima Memorial Hospital, as the temperatures get into the triple digits, make sure you are avoiding any type of strenuous activity.
If you are going to exercise, either do it early in the morning or late at night when the temperatures are cooler, doctors said.
Don't start a heavy exercise routine during the extreme heat, wait until the temperatures cool down, doctors said.
Finally, make sure you are drinking enough water and staying hydrated, doctors said.
