YAKIMA, Wash. - Mike McGavick made his candidacy for the U.S. Senate official Tuesday during a stop in Yakima.
The Yakima visit was the last stop on a statewide tour for McGavick.
He filed for the election with the Secretary of State's Office over the internet on a lap-top computer, with his wife and two sons nearby.
McGavick also addressed some of the issues he encountered during a number of open mic sessions he held in 40 communities around the state.
He is challenging incumbent Democratic Senator Maria Cantwell.
