YVCC Gets $50,000 in Grant Money

YAKIMA, Wa -  Yakima Valley Community College will receive $50,000 in grant money to help low income and minority students. 

College Spark Washington, in conjunction with the Lumina Foundation for Education has given money to YVCC and five other community colleges across the state.  

YVCC will use the money to plan and launch an initiative called Achieving the Dream.

Once that plan is in place, the community college can apply for an implementation grant worth up to $400,000 over four years.
