Neighbors Angry About Proposed Feedlot in Lower Wenas
LOWER WENAS VALLEY, Wa - Neighbors who live near a proposed feedlot for 500 cattle in the Lower Wenas are concerned about its impact on the environment. Now they're getting together to stop it from happening.
Doug Mayo is a farmer and property owner in the Lower Wenas. He wants to use his land, which amounts to 110-acres, approved by Yakima County to be used for a feedlot.
Some neighbors are angry because they did not find out about the feedlot until eight days ago. the project has been under review for three months.
