Possible Delays in Terrace Heights while Traffic Signal is fixed
TERRACE HEIGHTS, Wash.- If Yakima Avenue out towards Terrace Heights is part of your daily commute, you might run into some delays during the day on Wednesday.
Last Friday, high winds knocked out a traffic signal pole on Yakima Avenue near the 1500 block in Terrace Heights. A temporary stop sign was put up for eastbound traffic, and the left turn lane from the westbound I-82 off-ramp was closed.
Wednesday, that's all going to change. Starting at 7 a.m. Department of Transportation workers will be out replacing the traffic signal pole. During this time, the exit ramp from westbound I-82 will be reduced to one lane going towards Terrace Heights, and Traffic on Yakima Avenue crossing the freeway towards terrace heights will also be reduced to one lane. Maintenance work should be wrapped up by 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
