YAKIMA, Wash. - A 500 cattle feedlot in the lower Wenas Valley will not have a huge impact on the mammoth dig.
That's according to Central Washington University Professor, Pat Lubinski, who is part of the dig.
"It's hard to guess that would be of any impact," Lubinski said. "wWe already have dust and the only thing I can think of off hand would be the smell, but it probably won't have any affect on us."
Doug Mayo is the owner of the 110 acres where the proposed feedlot would go and wants Yakima County to approve the area for the feedlot.
