Kennewick Little Leaguers Get Big Time Opportunity
KENNEWICK, Wash. - To be the best in your field is something everyone strives for in life; but for a group of Kennewick little leaguers, being their best on the field is taking them exactly where they want to go.
The Kennewick American 10 year old All Stars got the All-star treatment as they received a police motorcade to the airport on their way to Lafayette, Louisiana for the Cal Ripken world series. This group of guys may only be in the little leagues right now, but they have very big league dreams. Clayten Ayres says all the recent attention on the team makes him, "feel like he's one of the Yankees."
Don't forget the Kennewick 12 year old All-Stars are also on the way to their own Cal Ripken world series. Those guys head to Maryland next Thursday for their big show.
