RICHLAND, Wash - It took the SWAT Team to arrest a man in the Horn Rapids area today.
People in the neighborhood are now safe back in their homes after the standoff forced a small evacuation.
According to police, the suspect has a collection of handguns and rifles, and threatened to commit suicide and shoot police.
Those threats called for the Regional SWAT Team and a short standoff took place at 2615 Saguaro Way around one this afternoon.
During the standoff, the suspect allowed his children leave the home and then he was eventually helped out by a negotiator.
Police are not releasing the 60-year-old suspect's name at this time.
They say family members said he's been emotionally unstable.
